Overview

Course Description

Abnormal increases or decreases in cell counts as revealed in a Full Blood Count (FBC) may indicate that a patient is having an underlying medical condition that calls for further evaluation, or indeed; a simple intervention with an appropriate medicine.

A Full Blood Count (FBC) is a blood test used to evaluate your overall health and detect a wide range of disorders, including anemia, infection and leukemia. An FBC measures several components and features of a patient’s blood which allows for the diagnosis of a medical condition especially when a patient is experiencing weakness, fatigue, fever, inflammation, bruising or bleeding.

In this 30 minute course, Dr Ben Mensah skillfully opens up these results and helps you understand how to interpret the basic FBC results, and how to utilize them by using practical cases.

1. The Full Blood Count (FBC)
2. Interpretation of the FBC
